CRAFTED
The 2014 vintage was a product of dry, warmer than average temperatures throughout the growing season, which produced small berry sizes and less juice to skin. However, 2014 was an abundant year as well, with yields averaging 3.3-tons per acre. During harvest the grapes were sorted, lightly crushed, de-stemmed and pumped into open top, chilled fermentation tanks. After cold soaking for 2 days, the grapes were allowed to ferment and macerate for nearly two weeks on the skins to extract maximum color and flavor. Following fermentation, pressing and settling, the wines were racked to 100% neutral French oak barrels. After barrel aging for 12-months, the separate lots were blended to taste in October 2015, then transferred back to 100% new French Oak for about 2 months months. The final blend was bottled in early January of 2016.

CELLAR
With proper cellaring the 2014 Eros  will soften and mature from 2017 through 2027.

Ridiculously smooth for such a young wine. Big, powerful Bordeaux blend, but still subtle.
