This Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir displays aromas of ripe raspberries and under ripe cherries, green tea with a bold toasty finish. Pomegranates on the palate, give way to raspberries and plums followed by dried herbs with bright acidity and medium/heavy oak tannins. We recommend enjoying now through 2021.
Crafted using grapes from the famed High 9 block of Goodchild Vineyard this 2014 Pinot Noir was handpicked at night to ensure cold fruit for the winery to work with. After cold-soaking the grapes were crushed and destemmed then left to ferment in stainless steel tanks. Post fermentation the wine was left in neutral French oak barrels to mature before being bottled to approximately 526 cases.
