Red plum, raspberry, and black cherries, with black pepper and hibiscus. Medium acidity is balanced with blueberries and subtle vanilla toast. Our Rapsodie blend is always a fun, everyday drinking wine that pairs perfectly with anything you’re having…or any day of the week.
The 2016 Rapsodie is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre that spans 3 vineyards across the Santa Ynez Valley. Grenache from El Camino Real Vineyard is the base wine for this blend and was hand-picked and delivered to the winery where they were destemmed and gently crushed into stainless steel fermentation tanks. A combination of commercial yeast inoculation and native fermentation methods were used in the fermentation process. Post fermentation, the lots were aged in 100% neutral French oak barrels for 22 months where they were monitored on a monthly basis to ensure optimal aging. In August 2017, the separate lots were blended to taste and bottled to 334 cases.
Our Rapsodie blend is always a fun, everyday drinking wine that pairs perfectly with anything you’re having…or any day of the week. Try this with braised lamb shank, a Moroccan tagine, or other spicy stews. Works really well with barbecued chicken and grilled sausage.
Our GSM blend is ready to drink now, and tastes great fresh. It will hold for another 4-6 years if properly cellared.
